EMBL Grenoble seeks a Scientific Expert for the Eukaryotic Expression Facility to support recombinant protein and protein‑complex production using insect, mammalian and protist cells. You will advise on expression systems, develop novel protocols, and manage daily lab operations including cell sorting and advanced microscopy.

Qualifications

• Technical, Master or PhD degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• A proven track record in cell biology, eukaryotic cell culture, recombinant protein or protein‑complexes expression strategies.
• Experience with recombinant DNA and genome‑engineering approaches.

Responsabilités

• Advise users on selection and optimisation of expression systems for recombinant proteins and protein complexes.
• Develop tailored solutions for production problems, including construct and cell-line engineering and purification.
• Manage daily operation of the facility’s laboratories and equipment, including the cell sorter and advanced light microscopes.
• Maintain equipment, consumables and facility resources; train users and contribute to courses.
• Collaborate with internal facilities and external partners; travel to other EMBL sites as needed.
