EMBL Grenoble in Grenoble, France, invites applications for a Research Technician to join the High Throughput Crystallization Laboratory (HTX Lab). You will operate automated crystallography platforms, contribute to fragment screening pipelines and collaborate on EC-funded projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in biochemistry or a related field (Masters, Bachelor, or equivalent).
• Experience with protein production for structural studies and protein crystallization.
• Experience in diffraction data collection or fragment screening.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate with HTX lab users.
• Motivation to develop new methods and work in an international environment.
• Fluency in English and good computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Operation of the automated crystallography platform including liquid handling, imaging and crystal harvesting robotics.
• Liaising with HTX lab users.
• Contributing to development of automated crystallography pipelines for fragment screening (CrystalDirect, CRIMS).
• DNA cloning, protein expression and purification as part of internal projects.
• Management of orders and consumables for the HTX laboratory; general maintenance of robotic equipment.
• Participation in research projects with team members, including fragment screening on relevant targets.
