Job summary

AXA Climate seeks a senior leader to drive Business Development & Growth across LATAM and to align commercial strategy with our Paris underwriting governance. You will identify client needs, originate opportunities with brokers, insurers, public sector bodies, NGOs, and financial partners, and represent the company at key industry events.

You will also lead Underwriting Leadership activities for climate-related insurance and parametric products, shape risk and pricing, oversee deal

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in underwriting, reinsurance, or structured risk solutions.
• Strong understanding of LATAM insurance markets and broker ecosystems.
• Experience with agriculture, climate risk, nat cat, or parametric solutions is highly desirable.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to build markets from the ground up.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute AXA Climate’s commercial growth strategy across LATAM markets.
• Identify emerging climate risks and client needs in the region.
• Originate new business opportunities with brokers, insurers, public sector institutions, NGOs, and financial partners.
• Build strategic partnerships and distribution channels in priority markets including Colombia, Mexico, and Brazil.
• Represent AXA Climate at industry conferences and market events.
• Contribute to underwriting strategy and execution for climate-related insurance and parametric products across Latin America.
• Oversee opportunity selection, deal qualification, and portfolio development across priority markets.
• Provide strategic judgment on market entry opportunities, risk appetite alignment, and transaction feasibility.
• Support contract structuring and implementation by helping navigate local legal frameworks, regulatory environments, and operational constraints.
