Us3 Consulting is seeking hands-on IT Support Engineers along with MSSQL DBAs for a large project to provide onsite technical support within manufacturing and industrial locations.

The role focuses on day-to-day user support, desktop support, application support and local IT troubleshooting, while also assisting with Windows upgrades, device refreshes and network issues.

Candidates should be able to work independently onsite and have strong communication and customer-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT support across desktop, network, and application areas.
• Experience providing onsite user support in manufacturing/industrial settings is a plus.
• Comfortable working independently onsite and communicating with users.
• Familiarity with Windows OS upgrades and device refreshes.
• Basic understanding of networking and enterprise applications.

Responsabilités

• Provide onsite 1st/2nd/3rd line IT support to users (depending on experience).
• Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, peripherals, and standard office apps.
• Support Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Assist users with hardware, software, login, connectivity and application issues.
• Support local networking and connectivity issues.
• Assist with Windows upgrades, PC refreshes and migration projects.
• Support local printers, scanners and other workplace tech.
• Provide basic support around Cisco networking.
• Support VMware environments where required.
• Assist with MS SQL-related application/database issues and escalate DBA issues as needed.
• Support MES/manufacturing systems used within the plant.
• Assist with CAD and engineering applications.
• Support backup/recovery tools, including Rubrik.
• Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests.
• Liaise with central IT teams and specialist support when escalation is required.
• Maintain local IT documentation and asset information.
• Support neighbouring sites where practical.

Role Description

We are looking for hands-on IT Support Engineers along with MSSQL DBA's for a large project to provide onsite technical support within manufacturing and industrial locations.

The role will focus primarily on day-to-day user support, desktop support, application support and local IT troubleshooting, while also assisting with infrastructure and project activities such as Windows upgrades, device refreshes, network issues and local systems support.

This is a broad support role. Candidates are not expected to be specialists in every technology listed, but should have a good general IT support background and be comfortable working independently onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite 1st/2nd/3rd line IT support to users. (Either 1st or 2nd or 3rd - depending on your experience)
• Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, peripherals and standard office applications.
• Support Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Assist users with hardware, software, login, connectivity and application issues.
• Support local networking and connectivity issues.
• Assist with Windows upgrades, PC refreshes and migration projects.
• Support local printers, scanners and other workplace technology.
• Provide basic support around Cisco networking.
• Support virtual environments such as VMware where required.
• Assist with MS SQL-related application/database issues and escalates specialist DBA issues where necessary.
• Support MES / manufacturing systems used within the plant.
• Assist with CAD and engineering applications.
• Support backup/recovery tools, including Rubrik, where used.
• Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests.
• Liaise with central IT teams and specialist support teams when escalation is required.
• Maintain local IT documentation and asset information.
• Support neighbouring sites where practical and geographically appropriate.
• Provide holiday/sickness cover where required.
• Experience in either IT Support, Desktop Support, Service Desk, Field Support or Site Support or DBA.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365.
• Comfortable troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.
• Able to work independently onsite.
• Willingness to support users in a manufacturing / industrial environment.
