Jobtailor in Bordeaux seeks a seasoned Lead Process Engineer to steer engineering activities within the project scope, track milestones, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards. You will liaise with project teams, external firms, and operations to resolve issues and prepare for commissioning of facilities.

You will contribute to risk analyses (HAZOP, FMEA) and review technical documentation, PFDs, and P&IDs, while reading industrial process tools and software.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering with process specialization.
• 5–10 years in a similar industrial role.
• Adaptability and strong coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and technical analysis.
• Proficiency reading PFDs and P&IDs.
• Experience with HAZOP and FMEA analyses.
• Experience in industrialization and commissioning phases.
• Professional proficiency in English.

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities within the process scope


• Track the progress of engineering studies and ensure compliance with project milestones


• Review the consistency and quality of technical deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, material and energy balances, and technical documentation for installations


• Participate in technical reviews and challenge the solutions proposed by external engineering firms


• Contribute to risk analyses (HAZOP, FMEA, and safety reviews) and monitor the associated action items


• Act as the interface between project teams, engineering contractors, operations teams, and suppliers to resolve issues and prepare for the commissioning of facilities


• Work on the design, construction, and commissioning of complex industrial facilities

Requirements

• Degree from a generalist or specialized engineering school, with a specialization in process engineering


• 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial environment


• Adaptability


• Strong skills in coordination, meeting facilitation, communication, technical analysis, and managing multiple interfaces


• Proficiency in industrial process tools and methodologies


• Proficiency in reading PFDs and P&IDs


• Proficiency in HAZOP and FMEA analyses


• Experience with industrialization and commissioning phases


• Professional proficiency in English
