Job summary

Nexans in Paris is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel - Compliance to strengthen its global compliance program. You will contribute to development, deployment and continuous improvement, focusing on anti-bribery, competition law, and trade sanctions.

Reporting to the Group Compliance Director, you will train teams, support operational stakeholders, manage governance tools, and drive due diligence for third parties across multiple geographies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles in international settings.
• Fluent French and strong English required; another language is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment of Nexans’ global compliance program across anti-bribery, competition law, and trade sanctions.
• Coordinate compliance training sessions and awareness initiatives, including Compliance Week events.
• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance controls, processes, and governance tools.
• Support Business Groups and operational teams on compliance-related topics and day-to-day advisory matters.
• Contribute to third-party due diligence processes, including agents, distributors, and compliance assessments.
• Collaborate with Group, Regional, and Business Group Legal & Compliance teams to ensure consistent deployment globally.
