Proofpoint is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our team and generate qualified sales opportunities for our Field sales team in France. You will report to the Manager, Business Development and collaborate with regional sales and marketing to create sales accepted leads via inbound and outbound activities.

In this role you’ll gather intelligence on assigned accounts, connect influencers and decision makers with our sales team, and help define an account‑based sales strategy

Qualifications

• Highly motivated with a competitive personality and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent phone and interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, plus good organisation.
• Prior success in goal‑driven environments preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce.com or CRM systems is a bonus.
• Fluency in French and English is mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Qualify inbound/outbound leads and respond to inquiries; convert interest into sales opportunities.
• Gather competitive and project intel for assigned accounts.
• Manage email campaigns and cold‑calling to generate new sales prospects.
• Track communications with customers in Salesforce.com.
