Job summary

Back Market is seeking an experienced Payroll & People Operations professional. Based in Paris or Bordeaux, you will own the end‑to‑end French payroll for ~300 employees, ensure accuracy, compliance and timely payments, and collaborate with external providers for international payroll needs.

You will drive payroll automation, leverage Workday and AI tools to streamline workflows, and maintain clear, proactive communication with employees and stakeholders in a hybrid setup requiring 3 days in the

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of hands-on experience processing French payroll.
• Strong knowledge of French social security, tax requirements and employment law.
• Fluency in French and English, strong communication with stakeholders.
• Experience with external payroll providers and payroll systems (Workday/ADP Decidium).

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end French payroll process for ~300 employees in-house.
• Verify inputs, payslips, reconciliations and taxes; maintain records for audits.
• Collaborate with Legal and external providers; ensure compliance.
• Drive payroll automation via Workday and AI-powered improvements.
• Support employee experience with timely, clear payroll communications.
