Mistral in Paris is seeking a People Operations Manager to build and scale the operational HR backbone for our France-based team. You’ll own daily HR processes, maintain compliance, and deliver a high-quality employee experience from onboarding to offboarding.

You will manage payroll, onboarding, immigration, vendor relations, and HR software initiatives, driving automation and reducing friction across the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive HR experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Deep knowledge of French labor laws, local employment regulations, payroll structures, and tax compliance.
• Experience managing the entire employee lifecycle: onboarding through offboarding.
• Proficiency with modern HR technology solutions, including HRIS platforms and automated payroll tools.

Responsabilités

• Process payroll end-to-end for France-based employees with providers and Finance team.
• Own the onboarding journey and update labor contracts, certificates, and system records.
• Navigate immigration and mobility requests including work permits, visas, and National Security Number apps.
• Resolve daily employee inquiries on benefits, enrollment changes, and company policies with clear support.
• Maintain compliance infrastructure by updating handbooks and monitoring changes in French employment law.
• Lead HR software initiatives and vendor management for HRIS and payroll tools.
• Streamline workflows by documenting, automating, and auditing procedures.
