Job summary

Pelagon, based in Paris or Marseille with a hybrid work model, is seeking a field-facing engineer to bridge engineering and operations. You will prepare deployments, integrate systems, and troubleshoot issues on-site with customers and the engineering team.

In this role you will translate customer needs into technical requirements, develop deployment processes, and produce clear operator documentation while traveling to test sites and customer locations as required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on field engineering experience in deployments or system integration.
• Structured approach to diagnosing problems across hardware and software.
• Clear communication and thorough documentation practices.
• Comfort working with customers and collaborating with engineers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support system installation, commissioning, demonstrations and field trials.
• Integrate hardware, software and communications components, and verify end-to-end operation.
• Diagnose issues using logs, measurements and tests; coordinate fixes with engineering.
• Translate customer needs into clear technical requirements and actionable feedback.
• Develop deployment processes, test reports, and operator documentation.
• Train and support users, explaining technical topics clearly.
• Help improve system reliability, maintainability and ease of deployment.
• Follow site safety procedures and handle customer and technical information discreetly.
