Job summary

Banco Santander SA in Paris is seeking an Associate / Vice President for Export & Agency Finance. You will originate, structure, and execute ECA-backed and agency-backed financing transactions, partnering with corporate clients, ECAs, multilaterals and internal teams.

The role demands strong negotiation, credit memo preparation, pipeline development and mentorship of junior staff. French and English fluency are required; MBA and 5–7+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

5–7+ years of experience in export finance, structured trade or project finance.
Experience with ECAs and agency-backed financing structures.
Knowledge of Eastern Europe borrowers is desirable.
Fluency in French and English; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Identify and originate ECA-backed and agency financing opportunities across a dedicated client portfolio.
Lead term sheet negotiation and prepare credit memos for internal approvals.
Contribute to strategy, pipeline, and product innovation for export finance.
Monitor market trends and regulatory changes affecting ECA programs.
Manage relationships with corporate clients, sponsors, exporters, ECAs and multilaterals.
Support end-to-end execution up to financial close with risk and legal teams.
