Huron is seeking an experienced Patient Access Manager - Emergency Department to lead ED registration and front-end revenue cycle functions at Baystate Health in Springfield, MA. Qualifications

• 5+ years of healthcare operations experience.
• Direct supervisory experience required.
• Patient Financial Services experience preferred (1-3 years in a leadership capacity).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent healthcare leadership experience may be considered.
• U.S. work authorization required.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Emergency Department Patient Access operations, including registration, eligibility verification, point-of-service collections, and data capture.
• Monitor and improve metrics related to registration quality, throughput, financial clearance, productivity, and revenue cycle performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop Patient Access staff through performance management and training.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and revenue cycle stakeholders to drive process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA, privacy regulations, and revenue cycle best practices.
• Support staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet performance expectations.
• Partner with Baystate Health and Huron leadership on strategic initiatives and continuous improvement.
