HyLight is seeking a software architecture lead for its HyLighter autonomous airships. This software-first embedded role focuses on architecture, code quality, and the tooling that enables reliable flight software.

You will shape onboard and ground software, build a clean hardware abstraction layer, and implement CI/CD with PX4 and QGroundControl, ensuring scalable, maintainable systems as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent in embedded systems or software.
• Solid embedded development experience with architecture ownership.
• Hands-on CI/CD setup and tooling experience.
• Experience with PX4, MAVLink and QGroundControl on drones.
• Languages: English and French preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own the software architecture for onboard and ground systems.
• Design a hardware abstraction layer for sensors and actuators.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and automated tests for reliability.
• Extend PX4-based flight software and QGroundControl to HyLight needs.
• Improve robustness of avionics and embedded software.
