HyLight is seeking an embedded software architecture intern to contribute to the HyLighter platform, an autonomous hydrogen airship for environmental monitoring. You will work on onboard and ground software, shaping architecture and CI/CD practices while growing your embedded skills.

The role involves developing with PX4 and QGroundControl, crafting clean hardware abstractions, and collaborating with a small team to enable rapid, reliable flight software delivery.

Qualifications

• Education: Final-year Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field and hands-on embedded project experience.
• Experience with embedded development, software architecture, robotics, drones, or autonomous systems.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and build/release processes in academic projects or internships.
• Experience with PX4, MAVLink, and QGroundControl is a strong advantage from projects or teams.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to software architecture of embedded systems (onboard and ground) with clean interfaces and modular design.
• Develop hardware abstraction layers to control sensors, actuators, and subsystems as a single machine.
• Improve CI/CD and development workflows, including pipelines, tests, and release tooling.
• Work with PX4 and QGroundControl to fit HyLight’s needs.
• Enhance robustness through testing, debugging, and software development.
• Participate in system architecture studies for future features and payload integration.
