Responsibilities
- Participate in front-end engineering design and detailed engineering studies for electrical and instrumentation systems
- Define technical requirements and installation architectures
- Prepare and analyze technical specifications for equipment
- Analyze and validate solutions proposed by engineering consultancies and contractors
- Participate in the design of medium- and low-voltage electrical installations
- Participate in the selection of measuring instruments and field equipment
- Define the electrical requirements and architectures for industrial installations
- Participate in medium- and low-voltage distribution studies
- Analyze and validate electrical schematics, calculation notes, and technical documents
- Participate in the selection and sizing of electrical equipment
- Verify the compliance of designs and installations with applicable standards and regulations
- Provide expertise on electrical issues affecting projects
- Define instrumentation requirements for industrial installations
- Participate in the selection and specification of measuring instruments for flow, pressure, temperature, level, and physicochemical parameters
- Analyze and validate instrumentation specifications and technical documents
- Participate in the management of industrial capital investment projects
- Act as the technical interface with project stakeholders
- Review and validate technical documents produced by engineering consultancies and contractors
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and site meetings
- Provide technical oversight of suppliers and service providers
- Monitor the compliance of completed work with designs and specifications
- Identify deviations and track corrective actions
- Participate in acceptance testing, commissioning, and the closeout of outstanding items
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations
- Participate in risk analyses and compliance studies
- Incorporate HSE requirements into technical decisions and project execution
- Maintain technological and regulatory watch
Requirements
- Master’s degree / engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering and Technology
- At least 5 to 15 years of experience in an industrial environment
- Experience with capital investment, construction, or refurbishment projects involving industrial installations
- Experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, energy, or process industries is particularly valued
- Expertise in electrical engineering, electrical systems, instrumentation, or electrical engineering and technology
- Methodical, self-sufficient, and able to work with a range of stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills
- Comfortable acting as an interface between technical teams, suppliers, and contractors
