Mistral AI is building the backbone of our frontier model training and fine-tuning ecosystem, delivering high-performance data infrastructure for massive scale across on‑premise and cloud environments.

You will help design and operate data fabrics, migrate away from legacy schedulers, and participate in on‑call rotations for critical training jobs, enabling researchers to access compute wherever it resides.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Infrastructure, MLOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Experience with foundational compute and storage platforms.
• Proficient in Python and modern columnar storage standards.

Responsabilités

• Build & Scale: operate massive distributed compute and storage systems.
• Global Orchestration: maintain multi-cluster orchestration layers across regions.
• Design Future-Proof Storage: transition to modern storage formats for exabyte-scale datasets.
• Platform Engineering: contribute to internal training platform on Kubernetes and SLURM.
• Metadata & Lineage: provide visibility and lineage for data and model pipelines.
• Operational Excellence: ensure scalable, reliable cloud-native deployments.
