Job summary

Danone invites high-potential students to join the Dairy Ferments & Cultures Development Internship at the Giff-sur-Yvette R&D center. The role focuses on developing dairy cultures, running fermentation experiments, and analyzing performance to guide product quality improvements.

The program runs from February 2027 for six months, offering a monthly gross stipend between €1,300 and €1,500, plus benefits such as Navigo pass reimbursement and access to Danone’s employee programs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bac+4/5 or engineering degree in France.
• Strong background in Microbiology, fermentation, Biotechnology or food science.
• Understanding of dairy fermentation processes is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of dairy cultures.
• Design and conduct fermentation experiments to evaluate culture performance in dairy matrices.
• Monitor and analyze acidification kinetics, fermentation behavior, and microbial growth.
• Perform basic and advanced microbiological and physiochemical analyses.
• Apply DoE approaches and interpret data to support culture selection and optimization.
• Develop predictive models and apply data analysis to understand fermentation performance and product quality.
• Prepare technical reports, summarize results and present findings.
