Danone is offering a 6-month internship at the Global Research & Innovation Center in Gif-sur-Yvette, starting February 2027. You will support the dairy fermentation team under the Dairy Ferment & Fermentation Manager, contributing to culture development and fermentation experiments.

Ideal candidates are Bac+4/5 students with a strong microbiology/fermentation background and an interest in data science methods and DoE. Autonomy, teamwork, and analytical thinking are valued traits.

Competenze

• Currently pursuing Bac+4/5 in university or engineering school.
• Strong background in Microbiology, fermentation, Biotechnology or food science.
• Basic understanding of data science tools, especially modeling is appreciated.

Mansioni

• Contribute to the development of dairy cultures.
• Design and conduct fermentation experiments to evaluate culture performance in dairy matrices.
• Monitor and analyze acidification kinetics, fermentation behavior, and microbial growth.
• Perform basic and advanced microbiological and physiochemical analyses; apply DoE and interpret data to support culture selection and optimization.
• Develop predictive models and apply data analysis to understand fermentation performance and product quality.
• Prepare technical reports, summarize results, and present findings.
