Burgess recruitment is urgently seeking a temporary Crew Chef for a 100m+ motor yacht, based in France. Immediate start with end date around 15 December. The role requires STCW, ENG1, FHS Level 3 and Ship's Cook Certificate, with duties including menu planning, galley hygiene, stock control and ensuring food safety.

Salary is 4500 EUR + DOE; vessel travels to the Caribbean. Applicants should be able to work long hours and maintain team morale in a busy, prestigious environment.

Competenze

• Must have STCW, ENG1, FHS Level 3 and Ship's Cook Certificate.
• Excellent hygiene, high galley standards and storeroom cleanliness.
• Balance nutritious menus and diets for crew.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Crew Chef to join a busy, prestigious yacht

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years as Crew Chef on board similar sized yachts
• STCW, ENG1, FHS Level 3 & Ship's Cook Certificate essential
• Able to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the galley and storerooms
• Provide balanced and nutritious menus and diet for the crew
• Ensure proper care, control and use of dry and refrigerated stores
• Able to maintain accurate inventories of catering stores and provisions
• Experience in maintaining stock levels and minimise waste, encourage economical use of the vessels provisions.
• Ensure that compliance with food safety and hygiene are adhered to at all times
• Able to work long hours during busy periods while maintaining quality and team morale
• Excellent time and kitchen management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Schengen visa/right to work required
