Umicore is seeking a proactive HSE Coordinator for the Automotive Catalysts site in Florange to support the deployment of Health, Safety and Environmental policy across operations.

You will update the HSE implementation plan, help prepare regulatory and environmental documents, collect and report performance indicators, and maintain training records—contributing to a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Health, Safety and Environment or closely related field.
• Industrial environment experience is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and data analysis ability.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and update the HSE implementation plan according to Group standards.
• Review and update regulatory and technical documents (risk assessments, environmental files).
• Collect, consolidate and report HSE statistics and indicators.
• Maintain HSE databases (training records, certifications, corrective actions).
• Draft, revise and communicate HSE procedures and safety instructions.
• Assist with HSE audits, inspections and management reviews.
• Deliver health, safety and environmental training sessions for staff and contractors.
• Support the HSE Manager in tracking action plans and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, the HSE Coordinator supports the deployment and monitoring of the site's Health, Safety and Environment policy. The role actively contributes to the continuous improvement of HSE performance by providing both operational and administrative support across all HSE activities.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and updating the implementation plan for Group HSE standards;
• Supporting the review and update of regulatory and operational documentation (Risk Assessment Document, chemical risk assessments, environmental documentation, risk analyses, etc.);
• Collecting, consolidating and updating HSE statistics and performance indicators;
• Ensuring the accuracy and maintenance of HSE databases (training records, certifications, corrective actions, IT tools and other monitoring data);
• Assisting with the drafting, revision and communication of HSE procedures and instructions (emergency situations, safety induction process, employee handbook, safety rules, etc.);
• Supporting the preparation of HSE audits, inspections and management reviews;
• Delivering health, safety and environmental training sessions and awareness initiatives for employees and contractors;
• Assisting the HSE Manager in monitoring action plans and continuous improvement projects;
• Promoting compliance with HSE requirements on site and contributing to the development of a strong safety culture.

The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to analyze data, training delivery capabilities, and a good command of standard office software.

Profile

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health, Safety and Environment or a related field. Previous experience in an industrial environment would be an advantage.
