City of Natchez is seeking a full-time Sweeper Operator with a Class A CDL to maintain streets and infrastructure. The role involves operating a street sweeper, performing daily checks, and performing related heavy manual labor in various weather and traffic conditions.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and some street maintenance experience, with leadership exposure preferred. Benefits include health and retirement options, and the Municipal department offers a stable public works

Qualifications

• High school diploma with some street maintenance experience; lead-worker experience preferred.
• Experience in operations related to street maintenance or construction.
• Able to perform heavy manual labor.

Responsabilités

• Operate equipment and perform maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Perform street maintenance and construction tasks in all weather.
• Clean streets by removing debris and contaminants.
• Safely operate the street sweeper per regulations.
• Communicate with supervisor and mechanics.
• Dispose of dirt and debris from sweeper.
• Wear PPE and perform daily inspections.
• Engage in related physical labor as needed.
