sennder is seeking a Transport and Carrier Operations Manager to join our Lyon office onsite. You will build contractual relationships, negotiate with carriers, and manage day-to-day carrier operations to support our customers.

Required: a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 2 years in road freight, excellent English, and an entrepreneurial mindset with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, international team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience in a road freight role.
• Excellent English communication (verbal and written); Spanish/Italian a plus.
• Entrepreneurial character and international mindset.
• Strong ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate, and influence others.
• Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results.
• Proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Responsabilités

• Develop supply chain solutions to support go-to-market strategy.
• Negotiate spot market commitments with carriers and call carriers.
• Provide day-to-day status updates and identify issues, seeking input to resolve.
• Apply trucks to loads in contractual and transactional commitments.
• Research new carriers, generate leads, and build relationships.
• Ensure customer load requirements are met on shipments.
• Identify backup carriers for critical situations.
• Study market trends and seasonality.
• Align with branch strategy and vision.
• Other duties per country requirements.
