sennder, a leading European digital freight forwarder, is seeking an Operations Manager for its Lyon office. You will build contractual relationships, negotiate spot market commitments with carriers, and coordinate day-to-day status updates while driving solutions.

This onsite role requires strong English communication, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to work across teams. You will develop supply chain solutions to support go-to-market strategies, research new carriers, and expand

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience in a road freight role and experience as a Freight Forwarder, Operations Representative, or Transport Manager.
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written); Spanish/Italian can be a plus.
• Entrepreneurial character and international mindset.
• Strong ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate, and influence others.
• Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment, while delivering independent results.
• Proactive and problem-solving mindset.

Responsabilités

• Develop supply chain solutions to support our customer go-to-market strategy.
• Resolve problems, identify issues, seek input, and implement solutions.
• Maintain and grow relationships with customer and carrier accounts.
• Research new carriers, generate leads, and build carrier relationships.
• Conduct calls with carriers to determine availability, commitment, and negotiate rates.
• Ensure customer load requirements are met on committed/ad-hoc shipments.
• Identify backup carriers for critical situations.
• Study market trends and seasonality.
• Align with branch strategy and vision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
