Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe and TIPS certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of mixology and liquor laws required.

Responsabilités

• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous and attentive manner.
• Serve food and drinks and upsell using suggestive techniques.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of menus and specials.
• Ring drink orders into the micros system and process payments.
• Prepare garnishments for drinks and stock bar inventory.
• Operate the hotel computer system (Micros) and perform opening/closing duties.
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile cash at shift end.
• Maintain a clean and compliant bar area and adhere to liquor laws.
• Assist food and beverage team as needed and resolve guest complaints professionally.

Position Summary:

The Banquet Bartender is responsible for providing the highest quality of service to guests in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Service guests by fulfilling their food and beverage needs and collecting payment.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous and attentive manner
• Serve food and drinks for guests using suggestive selling techniques
• Have a thorough knowledge of menus and applicable specials.
• Ring drink orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests.
• Prepare garnishments for drinks.
• Be able to operate the hotel computer system, Micros.
• Perform opening and closing procedures along with side work as assigned.
• Follow proper procedure regarding cash handling, following cash bank reconciliation and end of shift drop.
• Maintain a clean bar
• Know and comply with food handling and liquor laws.
• Engage guests in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner
• Perform all bar setup and restocking/replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
• Adhere to hotel grooming standards.
• Assist food and beverage team as situations arise.
• Resolve guest complains and perform service recover when required (and elevate to immediate supervisor if needed)

Experience And Education

• Previous experience as a bartender or barback
• Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Certifications as required by Federal, State, or Local agencies
• ServSafe, TIPS Certification
• Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent
