Job summary

SMBC Group in Paris is seeking an Assistant Vice President in Corporate Solutions within the EMEA Risk Solutions Group. You will develop expertise in interest rate risk management and derivative products, supporting origination, structuring and execution for corporate clients while engaging with cross-border teams across Europe and globally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience within corporate treasury, financial markets, derivatives, debt capital markets, structured finance, risk solutions or a related area within a financial institution.
• Good understanding of interest rate products, financial markets and corporate risk management concepts
• Fluent French and English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Support origination and execution of interest rate derivative transactions (swaps and hedging solutions).
• Assist senior team in identifying client hedging opportunities and preparing client discussions and marketing materials.
• Prepare client presentations, market updates, transaction analyses and marketing materials.
• Support transaction pricing, profitability assessments and hedging analyses with Trading and structuring teams.
• Assist in preparing internal approval materials, including credit applications and transaction documentation.
• Coordinate with Legal, Operations and Credit teams through the transaction execution process.
• Support ISDA, CSA and related derivative documentation processes.
• Contribute to cross-sell initiatives with Relationship Managers, FX, Treasury, DCM and Structured Products teams.
• Conduct market research and monitor client developments to identify opportunities.
• Support development of the FIG Solutions franchise across Europe through research and transaction support.
