Mistral is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our Paris-based Legal team, focusing on contracts and commercial topics to enable deal making and revenue generation. You will draft contracts, negotiate terms with suppliers, partners and customers, and translate evolving AI regulations into practical contract adaptations.

Reporting to the Director, Commercial Legal Affairs, you will work with cross-functional teams across regulatory, IP, corporate and labor law topics, provide training on AI-related

Qualifications

• Master's degree in law (bar admission a plus)
• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in tech/AI
• Knowledge of AI technologies and related law (data privacy, IP, contract law)
• Strong analytical skills for complex legal/technical issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication; business-oriented
• International mindset and adaptability to evolving AI landscape

Responsabilités

• Draft and provide strategic advice on AI-related contracts and service agreements
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, partners, customers, and stakeholders
• Stay updated on AI regulatory developments and translate them into contract negotiations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance in AI deployments
• Provide training on legal/compliance matters related to AI and contract negotiation
• Handle other legal topics as needed (labor, corporate, competition)
