Job summary

Sensmet is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the software platform for our next-generation hardware. You will lead the architecture and UI development of a greenfield project using Qt and C++, and build a Python scripting layer to empower hardware engineers and scientists.

You will also maintain the existing SenSpec Java desktop control software and resolve field issues to ensure smooth, global operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building desktop GUIs and core engines for hardware products.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in C++ and Python for application logic and hardware control.
• Ability to read, navigate, and maintain Java codebases (Java 8+).
• Proactive communication and collaboration with hardware engineers and scientists.

Responsibilities

• Lead software architecture and UI development for a greenfield platform.
• Build a high-performance Qt/C++ desktop GUI and core engine.
