Job summary

Aidian in Espoo, Finland is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our R&D instrument development team. The role focuses on embedded software in C/C++ on Linux (Yocto) with Qt, plus automation and UI prototyping using Figma.

You will own small projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to verification, documentation, and continuous improvement under ISO/IVDR quality systems.

Recent graduates are welcome; good English and a proactive mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electronics or Computer Science.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of software development experience.
• Experience with Qt or C/C++ is desired.
• Familiarity with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
• Automation experience (Robot Framework or similar) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Figma for wireframes and prototypes.
• Fluent English communication, written and spoken.
• Self-driven, proactive mindset and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Work actively with embedded software development (C++/Linux/Qt).
• Own automation scripts and workflows (Robot Framework).
• Create wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma.
• Own goals and timelines for your projects.
• Follow Aidian's quality system (IVDR/ISO 9001/13485/FDA QSR).
• Plan and execute Verification and Validation actions.
• Create and maintain documentation for code and architecture.
