Job summary

Unikie is seeking an experienced Embedded Camera Systems Engineer to debug and optimize camera drivers on TI Jacinto-based platforms. You will work across hardware signals, embedded Linux drivers, and automotive vision pipelines to resolve complex frame drop and sync issues.

The role requires hands-on CSI-2 expertise, V4L2, and kernel debugging skills, with collaboration across hardware teams to ensure robust sensor integration and ISO 26262 considerations where applicable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded Linux driver development with direct MIPI CSI-2 camera work.
• Strong knowledge of CSI-2 protocol, D-PHY/C-PHY, ECC/CRC.
• Hands-on experience with V4L2/Media Controller, videobuf2, and camera bindings.
• Proficiency in C and kernel debugging tools (ftrace, dmesg, dynamic debug).
• Experience with TI Jacinto platforms (TDA4VM/TDA4VH) and related SDKs.
• Experience integrating image sensors and GMSL/FPD-Link bridges in automotive contexts.

Responsibilities

• Debug intermittent camera capture issues on MIPI CSI-2 links across TI Jacinto platforms.
• Analyze protocol traces and use hardware tools for issue isolation and verification.
• Debug and modify Linux kernel drivers and media pipelines for camera endpoints.
• Collaborate with hardware teams on signal integrity and sensor integration.
• Work with TI PSDK, Vision Apps, and TIOVX for capture/ISP pipeline fixes.
• Document root causes and drive fixes with vendors and internal teams.
