Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Imaging Software Engineer in Tampere to architect and develop software pipelines that process, transform, and deliver video across Axon products such as body cameras, dash cameras, drones, and future imaging platforms.

You will focus on the camera middleware and video pipeline layer, collaborating with firmware, sensor integration, image quality, and CV teams to deliver high-performance embedded imaging systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily in C/C++.
• Strong experience with camera, video, multimedia, or high-throughput processing pipelines on Linux or embedded platforms.
• Hands-on experience with GStreamer or comparable multimedia frameworks.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux development; experience with Yocto is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop camera middleware and real-time video pipeline components across Axon products.
• Build high-performance multimedia pipelines using GStreamer and platform-specific media frameworks.
• Integrate image processing, computer vision, and ML algorithms into production camera pipelines.
