Job summary

Evondos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our R&D software team. You will help build secure, scalable backend services for our medication management platform, working in an international Scrum team with colleagues in the Netherlands and Finland.

This is a hands-on senior role with influence on technical decisions and a path toward a modern cloud-native platform. You will design and implement backend services, drive architectural improvements, and mentor peers while collaborating with

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend development experience with Kotlin and/or Python.
• Experience designing and building distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
• Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns and engineering best practices.
• Experience with cloud-native development and modern deployment practices (containerised apps).
• Collaborative, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services primarily using Kotlin and Python.
• Build scalable, secure, and highly available services for healthcare operations.
• Drive improvements in architecture, performance, reliability, and observability.
• Contribute to service-oriented architecture and Kubernetes-based environments.
• Own the software throughout its lifecycle—from development to production monitoring and improvement.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and fellow developers, mentoring colleagues.
