Job summary

Academic Work Finland Oy is seeking a Backend Developer to own cloud services end-to-end and scale our platform for global demand, based at our Helsinki HQ with flexible hybrid work. Your work will impact clinical workflows and patient care worldwide.

You will design, build, and operate backend services in .NET and Python, own services end-to-end from architecture to deployment, and collaborate with DevOps and Customer Success to ensure secure, multi-tenant data handling and integration with

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of .NET and backend software development.
Experience operating production-grade backend services.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate backend services in .NET and Python.
Own services end-to-end, including architecture, testing, and deployment.
Build federated SSO to integrate hospitals with identity providers like Azure AD.
Develop scalable multi-tenant authorization and automated customer onboarding.
Design and evolve multi-tenant database schemas with strict isolation.
Ensure high standards of security, compliance, and patient data protection.
Collaborate with DevOps on deployment and Customer Success on environment issues.
