Job summary

Skillsearch is seeking a Senior Character Concept Artist for a fully remote, six-month contract with occasional Helsinki visits. You will craft high-quality, stylised character concepts aligned with an established visual identity and contribute to a playful, polished game aesthetic.

You will iterate quickly, incorporate feedback from the team, and deliver concepts on schedule. Prior freelance experience and comfort with a practical art test are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experienced Character Concept Artist with a strong track record of producing stylised artwork.
• Able to work quickly, take feedback directly, and collaborate with a creative team.
• Able to manage workload and deliver on agreed timelines.
• Familiar with freelancing or contract work.
• Comfortable with an art test as part of the interview.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality, stylised character concepts aligned with art direction.
• Create distinctive, readable character designs fitting game world.
• Deliver concepts and iterations at pace, respond to feedback.
• Communicate with internal team and refine concepts through iteration.
• Work independently and manage time within contract environment.
