Job summary

Pfeifer Nordics Oy, part of the Pfeifer Group, is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead the sawn timber sales across the Nordic markets. You will head a team of four sales professionals, drive growth, and shape pricing and customer strategy.

The role focuses on digital transformation, data-driven selling, and first-class service, with close collaboration across production planning, supply chain and the Pfeifer Group.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial experience and a strong track record in the sawmill industry.
• Technical and commercial understanding of sawn timber, including products, pricing and market dynamics.
• Strong knowledge of the Nordic timber markets and an established customer and industry network in Northern Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the sawn timber sales business and a team of sales professionals.
• Drive the digital transformation of sales and develop systematic, data-driven ways of working.
• Build a modern, value-added sales approach and ensure first-class customer service.
• Strengthen key accounts, customer relationships and strategic partnerships.
• Lead contract and price negotiations and develop pricing strategies in changing market conditions.
• Identify new customers, market opportunities and business development potential.
• Drive sales planning, pipeline management, forecasting and budgeting.
• Monitor market, customer and competitor developments and translate insights into commercial actions.
• Work closely with production planning, supply chain and leverage the expertise and capabilities of the wider Pfeifer Group.
