Job summary

VTT is seeking an experienced Technology Solution Sales Lead in Finland to drive commercial growth in the Industrial Chemistry area. You will lead solution sales, develop sustainable chemical processes and recycling technologies, and build strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• A relevant Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, industrial management or a related field.
• A track record of growing business and exceeding sales targets in industrial chemistry.
• Several years of hands-on sales experience in value-based and consultative solution sales.
• Demonstrated ability to build strategic alignment with customers, manage relationships and enable growth.
• Strong understanding of pricing models, contractual options and IP rights.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute sales activities and build and maintain the sales pipeline with area leaders and stakeholders.
• Acquire new customers and drive sales growth in industrial chemical processes, upgrading, recycling and related areas.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and industry trends to advise on offerings and service models.
• Participate in negotiations and craft cross-VTT offers, considering pricing, deliverables and trade regulations.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers and drive orders to closure.
• Lead sales and marketing planning for the research area with the Sales Director and VP; coordinate events and exhibitions.
• Implement frame agreements and ensure compliance with customer-specific agreements and pricing models; coach researchers in solution sales.
• Coordinate with research teams to transfer VTT’s IP portfolio to customers when relevant.
