Job summary

Palsatech Oy is seeking an International Project Manager to lead planning, ramp-up, and execution of international customer projects across Nordic regions and beyond. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets and resources, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery with profitability.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong planning capabilities and excellent English communication, with frequent travel in the Nordic countries and internationally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management or a project-based environment.
• Experience in planning, mobilizing, ramping up and executing customer projects or new operational setups.
• Strong understanding of project economics, budgeting and cost control.
• Experience in coordinating personnel, equipment, logistics and other operational requirements.
• Ability to work independently in an international and rapidly developing environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel regularly in Nordic countries and internationally.
• Knowledge of Finnish and/or Swedish is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational planning and start-up of new international customer projects.
• Prepare project execution, implementation and resource plans with sales and other functions.
• Plan personnel, equipment, facilities, logistics and other operational needs.
• Coordinate project mobilization and ramp-up and ensure readiness before launch.
• Identify operational and commercial risks and address them during planning.
• Support the transition from sales/tendering to operational execution.
• Coordinate and support the execution of international projects.
• Monitor schedules, resources, costs, quality and performance.
• Work with local project teams to ensure successful execution.
• Identify bottlenecks and initiate corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with operating practices and quality standards.
• Monitor cost efficiency and financial performance of projects.
• Analyze actual costs against plans and budgets.
• Conduct post-project reviews with finance and ops.
• Identify factors affecting profitability and improvement opportunities.
• Use data and lessons learned to improve future planning and estimates.
• Assist sales in operational planning and tendering of new projects.
• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets and resource calculations.
• Assess costs, resources and execution risks for tenders.
• Leverage historical data to improve tender pricing.
• Engage in customer discussions on planning and execution when needed.
• Develop project operating models and promote consistent practices across international ops.
