Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and delivering leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centre’s, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for a Planning Manager to join them on a project in Finland.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Lead the planning function across all project phases, ensuring programmes are developed, maintained, and communicated in line with company standards and client expectations.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed design, procurement, and construction programmes, coordinating input from multiple disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Monitor and manage progress across multiple workstreams, conducting programme reviews and providing strategic advice to senior management to support key decision-making.
- Analyse project delays and risks using tools such as critical path and delay analysis, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain delivery objectives.
- Manage the planning input for tender submissions, working closely with pre-construction teams to develop competitive and realistic delivery strategies.
- Oversee resource and cost loading across programmes to support financial forecasting and productivity analysis at both project and portfolio levels.
- Lead programme impact assessments for change events, ensuring robust EOT and claims support is provided to the commercial and project controls teams.
- Drive planning best practice, mentor junior planners, and contribute to the continuous improvement of planning systems, tools, and reporting frameworks across the business.
You Will Need:
- A Professional Qualification in Planning or Construction Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years experience planning large scale projects.
- Must be a competent user of software including the likes of Primavera P6.
- An EU passport may not be required but is desirable.
