Job summary

Valmet is seeking an IT Service Manager for HR and QHSE to harmonize global payroll and time management solutions. The role spans PCC, Payroll, QHSE, and Reporting & Analytics, coordinating with business stakeholders and IT teams worldwide.

The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end lifecycle, drive standardization, and partner with process owners. Finnish language skills are essential for local regulatory tasks, with English as working language.

Qualifications

• Degree (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) in IT or related field.
• 3-5 years of work experience and knowledge of relevant IT solutions.
• Working language is English; strong Finnish skills for local regulatory tasks are essential.
• Service management, development, and project management skills.
• Development-oriented thinking with drive to improve operations.
• Experience and knowledge of QHSE and PCC processes and their IT impact.
• Good understanding of payroll and time-management data flows and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Drive harmonization in payroll and time management solutions and their integration into PCC, finance and other systems.
• Act as IT partner for PCC, Payroll and QHSE; participate in design, development, and testing of IT solutions.
• Own end-to-end application and service lifecycle from design to retirement, aligning with IT strategy.
• Participate in business process development as IT representative and ensure alignment of solutions.
• Maintain roadmaps and development plans with Domain Lead and Enterprise Architect.
• Understand QHSE, Payroll and Time Management context, requirements and expectations; act as IT SME.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-efficient delivery of development items and support services.
