Job summary

Salesforce is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions inside enterprise environments. You will partner with a Deployment Strategist to co-build productions-ready AI deployments for large customers, spanning configuration, customization, and end-to-end deployment.

You will lead technically, engage with customer architects, and travel up to 25% to deliver impactful AI-driven outcomes in collaboration with the Salesforce team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with at least one production system you can walk us through.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience (consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering).
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex and willing to add more as needed.
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering; can explain prompt failures and fixes.
• Strong data modeling, APIs, and integration pattern knowledge, able to design them, not just consume.
• Able to engage with sales teams and customer architects; ship quality code with engineering rigor.
• Enjoy exploring the evolving AI/data landscape and piloting new tools and models.
• Willing to travel ~25% of the time to work directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop agentic AI solutions shipped into customer environments, from design to production.
• Design agent intelligence including prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations with customer systems.
• Own technical components end-to-end from architecture to deployed, observable production.
• Build and maintain data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
• Create agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting to monitor deployment health and outcomes.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs that move quickly from sketch to deployable.
• Co-build with customers and partners, sharing best practices and enabling teams.
• Identify platform gaps and feed insights back to senior engineers and product teams.
• Collaborate with Deployment Strategist to translate customer challenges into shippable agentic solutions.
