Job summary

SEB is seeking an Analytics Engineer to build and maintain data infrastructure for reliable, business-ready datasets. You will translate requirements into scalable transformations, focusing on event- and user-level modeling, data quality, and cost efficiency.

In a cloud-first setting (GCP, BigQuery, Dataform), you will collaborate with analysts, engineers and stakeholders to deliver AI-ready insights. Based in Arenastaden, Solna, with a focus on secure, scalable data platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience using SQL for data analysis or modelling.
• Familiarity with dbt, Dataform or similar transformation framework.
• Experience developing cloud-based data pipelines and models; exposure to Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery is a plus.
• Understanding of building reliable and maintainable data solutions and data quality practices.
• Familiarity with access management, metadata, Terraform, scripts, Git or DevSecOps is beneficial.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; good written and spoken English; Swedish is a plus.

You will join a team of highly engaged data and analytics professionals and report to Magnus Klint, Head of Customer Insight Analytics.

About the job

As an Analytics Engineer, you will create and maintain the data infrastructure, architecture and models that make digital behavioural data reliable, understandable and easy to use for analysis, reporting and emerging AI-enabled use cases.

You will translate business requirements into sustainable technical and data solutions, taking ownership from agreed requirements through implementation and production. Your work will include designing scalable and cost-efficient transformation pipelines, developing event-based and cross-channel data models, and creating consistent definitions at event, session and user level.

You will also validate data, monitor quality, troubleshoot pipeline and data issues, and continuously improve maintainability, performance and cost. An important part of the role is ensuring that datasets, metadata, documentation and business definitions are trustworthy and suitable for downstream consumption by analysts, business users and AI models.

Working in a modern cloud environment, you will contribute hands‑on to solutions using technologies such as Google Cloud Platform with focus on BigQuery & Dataform, SQL, JavaScript, Terraform and Git‑based development workflows. You will support secure access management and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, analysts, engineers, architects and platform teams to deliver solutions that create measurable business value.

You will be part of building BRB’s cloud‑based data and analytics platform and shaping new ways of working. This is an opportunity to combine technical depth with business proximity, influence our future data landscape and explore how semantic definitions and new AI technologies can accelerate insight generation.

We are looking forsomeone with a few years of relevant experience in analytics, dataengineeringor digitalbehaviouraldata who is ready to take the next step in their career. You may currently work asan Analytics Engineer,Data Engineeror in a related role,andhave gainedpracticalexposure to data modelling and cloud-baseddata transformation. Relevant academic training or equivalent professional experience is valuable, but we are equally interested in your curiosity, problem‑solvingabilityand motivation to grow in the role.

• You have practical experience using SQL for data analysis or modelling, together with some familiarity with dbt,Dataformor a comparable transformation framework.

• You have experience in developing cloud-based data pipelines and models, while exposure to Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery is an advantage.

• Experience with event-based or digitalbehaviouraldata from web or app environments is beneficial, but not essential.

• You understand the principles of building reliable and maintainable data solutions and are motivated to develop your skills in data quality,performanceand troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with areas such as access management, metadata, Terraform,scripts, Git orDevSecOpsis beneficial, but we do not expect you to be an expert in all of them.

• You also havegood communicationand collaboration skills, an interest in working between business needs and technical implementation, and good written and spoken English. Swedish is an advantage.
