We are seeking an experienced Deputy Housekeeping Manager to join us in opening OKU Andalusia, our newest five-star resort on Spain’s Costa del Sol, just moments from Sotogrande.

OKU Hotels is a boutique collection of soulfully-curated, laidback luxury hotels, created for the modern traveler. Meticulously designed sanctuaries are conceived with barefoot luxury, local connections and slow living at heart.

OKU Hotels is headquartered in London, with current properties operating in Ibiza and Kos, and a confirmed pipeline of hotels set to open in Turkey, Spain and the Maldives. OKU is targeting to own and/or operate a collection of over ten exquisite properties in new and captivating destinations worldwide, over the next five years.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

1. Assist in supervising housekeeping operations, ensuring rooms and public areas meet luxury hotel standards.
2. Coordinate and support the housekeeping team, providing training and guidance to maintain efficiency and excellence.
3. Monitor room inspections and ensure adherence to cleanliness and hygiene protocols.
4. Manage inventory control for linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
5. Assist in scheduling and workforce planning to ensure optimal staffing levels.
6. Collaborate with maintenance and front office teams to address guest requests and maintenance issues promptly.
7. Uphold compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
8. Address guest concerns regarding cleanliness and housekeeping services professionally and efficiently.
9. Support budgeting and cost control efforts to optimize department performance.
10. Oversee laundry operations to ensure quality and timely service.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

1. Passionate about hospitality and an enthusiastic demeanor, with a desire to represent the OKU philosophy in your professional environment.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping management within luxury hotels or resorts.
3. Knowledge of housekeeping technology and property management systems.
4. Experience in staff training and performance management.
5. Fluency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
6. Previous pre-opening experience is a plus.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
8. High attention to detail and quality control.
9. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
13. Commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

1. Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and cleaning procedures.

4. Ability to manage inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies and linens.
5. Proficiency in scheduling and staff coordination.
