The Role, Team & Responsibilities:

The ClickHouse DBA will be responsible for managing and maintaining the ClickHouse based data warehouses used in Infovista's cloud native assurance products. This includes tasks such as:

• Installing and configuring the database software.
• Optimizing for efficiency.
• Troubleshooting any potential issues.
• Capacity planning and system dimensioning.
• Upgrades and resiliency strategies.
• Collaborating with developers to design and implement efficient database solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a DB Administrator on distributed cluster.
• Experience with database management and performance optimization, including:
• Benchmarking and performance testing.
• Sizing and capacity planning.
• Troubleshooting and resolving performance-related issues.
• Optimizing database configuration and parameters for high-performance workloads.
• Strong background and field experience with ClickHouse.
• Good understanding of I/O, networking, and troubleshooting on Linux.
• Experience with cloud native architectures (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, Prometheus/Grafana, Keycloak, etc.).
• Nice to Have:
• DevOps experience, including CI/CD and test automation.
• Go lang and Java development experience.
• Experience with public cloud deployments (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with private cloud deployments (VMware, OpenStack, OpenShift).
