Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center (Wind) in Barcelona to monitor offshore wind assets, diagnose issues remotely, and support commissioning and service activities.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts, analyse operational data, and contribute to continuous improvement while rotating weekday shifts and occasional on-call support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20% if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support.
