Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for its Wind Remote Operations Center based in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets, coordinating with site teams and engineering to diagnose and resolve issues across commissioning and service phases.

You will monitor turbine performance, perform remote diagnostics, and guide field teams to restore optimal output. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential, with readiness to travel up

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
