Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) based in Barcelona, Spain. You will oversee safe, efficient offshore wind assets from a remote hub, coordinating with site teams and engineering experts to ensure turbines perform reliably across their lifecycle.

You will monitor performance, diagnose issues remotely, and drive continuous improvement through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
Strong analytical and structured communication; calm under pressure.
Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
Fluent English (spoken and written); Spanish fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotation for weekends/public holidays.
