Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind) in Barcelona to oversee safe, efficient offshore wind asset operations from a remote hub. You will coordinate with site teams and engineers to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring turbine reliability across lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
• Fluent English, willingness to relocate to Barcelona, EU work eligibility.
• Travel availability up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support commissioning and service.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to solve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work rotating weekday shifts with on-call support during weekends/holidays.
