Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations in Barcelona to supervise offshore wind assets from a remote center. You will monitor turbine performance, diagnose issues, and guide commissioning and service activities to ensure reliability across the lifecycle.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineers, analyze data for faults and trends, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safe operations and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments.
• Able to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Available to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
