Job summary

GE Vernova recruits a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center to oversee offshore wind assets from a Barcelona-based hub. You will coordinate commissioning and service activities, diagnose complex issues remotely, and drive continuous improvement across operations.

The role requires hands-on wind energy experience, ability to read electrical schematics, and strong analytical and communication skills. Travel up to 20% and EU relocation readiness are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
