Job summary

GE Vernova's ROC Technical Lead in Barcelona oversees the safe operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center, coordinating with site teams and engineers to detect and resolve issues for reliable performance.

You will analyze operational data, drive continuous improvement, and support both commissioning and service phases. Travel up to 20% and relocation to Barcelona are expected for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Experience with wind turbines or electromechanical systems in operation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; calm under pressure; collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
