Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to support safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center in Barcelona. You will work across commissioning and service phases, collaborating with site teams and engineering experts to detect, analyze, and resolve issues for reliable turbine performance.

You will monitor performance, assist remote diagnostics, escalate complex problems with clear data, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
